- In the Master of Science in Agriculture program, students learn about crop science, soil science, plant breeding, plant physiology, and biotechnology related to food production and agriculture. It focuses on agronomy, entomology, soil science, and horticulture. The School of Agriculture offers an MSc in Agriculture in Agronomy course to prepare students for careers in research and development, farming, or agricultural production.
- Besides teaching research methods and techniques, there are opportunities to work on real-world projects. Each student completes a research project or thesis as a requirement of the program, in which they conduct original research and contribute new knowledge.
- Students will graduate from the program with an in-depth understanding of all aspects of agronomy, and equipped with the knowledge and skills necessary to excel in the agriculture and food industries.
- Among the topics covered in the program are plant physiology, breeding, genetics, biotechnology, and horticulture. Also included are hands-on horticultural techniques like propagation, pruning, and pest management. During the program, students complete a research project or thesis, which enables them to conduct original research and contribute to the field of horticulture.
- Soil science and resource management careers include research and development, farming and agriculture, and government and non-government organizations.
- We offer advanced coursework in soil physics, soil chemistry, soil biology, soil fertility, and soil management. Students will also learn soil and plant analysis, soil sampling, and soil conservation techniques. This program typically requires students to complete a research project or thesis, which gives them the opportunity to contribute original research to soil science.

M.SC. in Agriculture at the School of Agriculture consists of a curriculum that is very broad and interdisciplinary consisting of courses in Agronomy, Horticulture, Plant Pathology, Entomology, Agricultural Economics, Extension education, Genetics and Plant Breeding, Soil Science, Food Technology, Animal Husbandry apart from supporting courses in Basic Sciences, Humanities and Agricultural Engineering. M.Sc.(Ag.) holders are given some benefits as they receive higher stipend than M.Sc. holders in DBT supported post graduate courses in Biotechnology. Even for the Gazette post like Agricultural Officer (Agronomist), the Basic educational requirement is M.Sc. in Agriculture.
The target of School of Agriculture at Abhyuday University is to focus on areas where students can enhance their abilities to deal with the challenges in the field. Our main focus is on:

Once a student graduates from the School of Agriculture a lot of Government as well as Private job opportunities are available for them. As for Government jobs, State Agriculture Departments recruits Graduates to fill up Officer level posts. Government Banks also recruits Graduates to fill up Officer level posts (generally dealing with Loans). If the student opts for Private Sector jobs, they may find jobs as Managers at Plantations, as Officers at Fertilizer Manufacturing firms, Agriculture Machinery Industries, Agricultural Products Marketing firms, Food processing units etc. Average starting salary is generally between 2-4.5 Lakh Rupees per year.
Candidates must have scored 50% (for SC/ST/OBC 45%) marks in aggregate in 12th Standard or an equivalent examination in the stream of PCM/PCB/PCMB/ Agriculture (P- Physics, C- Chemistry, M- Mathematics, B- biology), recognized by State or Central Education Board.
